Welsh Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson today launched a scathing attack on the health priorities of the Labour/Plaid Welsh Assembly Government. Tackling the First Minister, Jenny Randerson demanded to know why the Government could not find money to treat seriously ill patients, such as those who cannot get treated for Parkinson's Disease through Deep Brain Stimulation, but prefers to spend money on free prescriptions for millionaires and parking in hospitals for commuters.

Commenting on the Police Federation's legal bid to force the Government to award them a full 2.5% pay rise, Jenny Willott, Lib Dem Justice Spokesperson and MP for Cardiff Central, said: "Whatever the outcome of this case, the Government has a moral duty to abide by the police pay arbitration award.

In a debate on libraries today Welsh Liberal Democrat spokesperson for culture Peter Black AM called for the Welsh Assembly Government to acknowledge the important work done by local authorities.

Today, the Government released figures showing house prices in Wales fell by 2.4%, in February, well above the UK average of 1.6%.

Welsh liberal democrat leader Michael German tackled the First Minister on the Plaid- Labour government's lack of plans in dealing with the welsh housing shortage and the worst effects of the credit crunch.

The Assembly Government has today announced its proposed Learner Travel Measure which seeks to improve safety for pupils. Kirsty Williams AM, Welsh Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Education and Transport sits on the Enterprise and Learning Committee which made 9 recommendations in November 2007, on the previous version of the measure when it was out for consultation.

The Minister for Economy and Transport, Ieuan Wyn Jones, added to the confusion over whether the Labour-Plaid Cymru Welsh Government are prepared to fund a new bus station for Swansea yesterday, when he refused to agree to the Council using their Transport Grant allocation flexibly so as to get the project off the ground.
