Jenny Randerson - New economic direction better late than never.9.19.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 5th Jul 2010 Speaking ahead of the launch of the Assembly Government's Economic Renewal programme, Welsh Lib Dem Shadow Economy Minister, Jenny Randerson AM said: "It is highly likely that the Minister will have all party support for this new way forward. While it is clear that Wales would have weathered the recession better if this approach had been adopted some years ago, few will criticise the Minister for finally taking Wales in this direct ion. "The path to a brighter future for Wales involves a bigger private sector based on high value investment, tapping into the economic power of our Universities and ensuring dwindling public money is spent smartly on improving our infrastructure. "This morning, I told the Minister that while we will monitor the implementation of his plan carefully, in general terms, he will have my full support."
