An artist's impression of how the new scheme at Canada Road might look.

Work will soon be starting to improve the dead end of Canada Road by Ysgol Mynydd Bychan.

Cardiff's Liberal Democrat council has agreed a project to tidy up the site, similar to the scheme further down Whitchurch Road by Gladstone Primary school. The scheme will see new seating and cycle racks added, the broken pavement replaced and road safety improved for the benefit of pupils at the school.

Local councillor, Cathy Pearcy, told us: "Work is scheduled to be completed by the autumn. We are very pleased that this part of the ward is being made more attractive and pleasant for parents, pupils and local residents."
