Improving our area: Cllr. Cathy Pearcy is delighted that North Road’s pavements are being replaced by Cardiff’s Lib Dem council.

North Road's cracked and damaged footway is being replaced - thanks to a petition organised by the Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team!

After several nasty falls on the road last year, Gabalfa's local Lib Dem councillors started a petition, calling for the pavement to be replaced by tarmac.

Cllr. Cathy Pearcy told us: "Ed and I wanted to get the stretch of pavement by St. Mark's Church and Meridian Court replaced, and this work has now been carried out. It's a great relief to residents, and proves that community action can make a difference!"

The area by the shops is currently being upgraded as part of a renewal scheme. The plans also came about thanks to pressure from the Focus Team, and will see the pavement and lighting improved.
