Working for you: Cllr. Ann Rowland-James is standing up for the residents of Lydstep Flats.

The Llandaff North Liberal Democrat Focus Team has been quick to respond to residents' concerns about a number of safety issues in Block 1 of Lydstep Flats.

Several residents have contacted Cllr. Ann Rowland-James in recent weeks to ask for help with problems at the flats. As a result, Ann has got the council to agree to:

• Repair the broken door-entry system

• Place a security device on the back door

• Clean graffiti from the walls

• Fix overflowing pipes

• Provide a cover for the outdoor waste bins

• Clear the gullies and drains around the flats

The Focus Team has asked the council to attend to these problems urgently.

Ann, who has been campaigning for improvements at Lydstep Flats for many years, told us: "These issues are of great concern to us and I have taken action to remedy them."

Local Lib Dem activist, Jacqui Hooper, added: "Residents need to feel secure in their homes, and have a safe environment in which to live."

If any resident has any further concerns about issues at Lydstep Flats, they can contact any one of the Focus Team.
