Cllrs Ed Bridges and John Dixon believe only the Liberal Democrats can save the NHS

The Welsh Liberal Democrats have pledged to address Labour's health service blunders.

With the NHS in crisis, the Lib Dems plan to set up walk-in health centres to ease the strain on GPs and hospitals.

Welsh Assembly candidate, John Dixon, said: "I want a health service that puts patients first and delivers better healthcare. "We will create nurse-led walk in centres alongside A&E Departments and GP out-of-hours services to help with blood tests, dressings, screenings and treatment of minor ailments.

Local Lib Dem, Ed Bridges, added: "By linking these centers with the out-of-hours and ambulance services, we can ensure that patients get better treatment. We also want to see a greater role for nurses and pharmacists."
