Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges, and local Lib Dems want to see the underpass at Gabalfa Interchange improved.

Welsh Liberal Democrats in Cardiff North are calling for improvements to the underpass at the Gabalfa Interchange.

The underpass is much-used by pedestrians and cyclists, but your Lib Dem Focus Team wants to make sure the area is made to feel safer after dark.

Welsh Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges, said: "It's important for the underpass to be improved and made more attractive so that people using it can feel safe. It's a vital route for cyclists like me, and the council should invest in it to give people a proper alternative to car use."

Llandaff North councillor, Ann Rowland-James, added: "We have written to the council asking for a full inspection of the underpass and the subways leading up to it. We will then suggest improvements and ask for a scheme to be drawn up."

Heath councillor, Michelle Michaelis said: "As always, we will keep residents informed of our progress on this issue."
