Cardiff North's Lib Dem Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges (left), wants fairer funding for students.

The Welsh Liberal Democrats have challenged the other parties in Wales over their policies on student finance.

The Welsh Lib Dems have pledged to provide at least the current level of funding for Welsh students during the next term of the Assembly - and have demanded the other parties break their silence and make the same commitment.

Local Lib Dem Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges, said: "I believe that education should be a right, not a privilege. Labour's tuition fees have left us with unequal access to further education, and the Lib Dems want to address that. The other parties should match our commitment."
