Residents demand a speed camera

12.00.00am GMT Tue 26th Dec 2006

The Heath and Birchgrove Focus Team is demanding a speed camera on Maes-y-Coed Road after three serious road crashes in a month.

Residents around Maes-y-Coed Road collected a petition of 140 names calling for a speed camera and the council has requested that the Mid & South Wales Camera Partnership introduce a static speed camera in the vicinity of Eton Court.

Local campaigner Cllr. Gerald Harris said, "There have been too many accidents on this road in recent months. Placing a speed camera on Maes-y-Coed Road will save a life."
