Randerson & Howells join local litter pick

Cardiff Central AM Jenny Randerson and prospective AM Nigel Howells have joined forces with dozens of local volunteers at Blackweir for Keep Wales Tidy's 'Great Taff Tidy.'

Jenny and Nigel helped with the litter pick along the river bank, whilst the more adventurous helpers waded into the river to tackle the larger objects that get thrown away.

Nigel Howells said, "It's great to see so many people taking pride in their area and helping clean up the local environment."

Notes:

The event is organised by Keep Wales Tidy and over the weekend of the 3rd to 5th September, over 60 groups and organisations will be cleaning the River Taff and the riverbank from the Brecon Beacons to Cardiff Bay.
