Cllr. Ed Bridges wants residents in Gabalfa ward to know about the forthcoming site visit to consider the planning application at Northlands on North Road.
The Gabalfa Liberal Democrat Focus Team has been informed of the details of the site visit for the planning appeal at Northlands on North Road.
Residents will remember that planning permission was refused earlier this year as a result of concerns expressed by residents, supported by the Liberal Democrat Focus Team, over access to the site.
Over the summer, the applicant launched an appeal against the refusal of planning permission. Before a decision is made on that appeal, a site visit will be made by the Welsh Assembly's Planning Inspector.
Councillor Ed Bridges has now learnt that the site visit will take place on 6th November at 11.45am, starting by the main entrance to Northlands on North Road. Residents are entitled to attend the site visit, although they do not have the right to address the Inspector except on matters of factual clarification.
Ed said: "I will be attending the site visit to ensure that residents' concerns are demonstrated to the Inspector. Many of us believed that access to the site should be wholly from the North Road entrance as it is now, rather than shared between North Road and Pen-y-Bryn Place. I will be asking the Inspector to view the Pen-y-Bryn Place and Heathfield Road sides of the site so he can see why residents opposed the application."
