"All aboard!" Cllr. Ed Bridges and Cllr. Cathy Pearcy are pleased with the new bus stops at the Gabalfa Interchange which have made bus travel much quicker.
The new bus stops at Gabalfa Interchange have been re-opened for over a month, and journey times by bus from the centre of Cardiff to the north of the city continue to be reduced as a result.
The news comes after £670,000 of investment from Cardiff's Lib Dem council. This saw an extra bus lane added to the slip road, a cycle lane introduced, and the subway 'opened up' to make it lighter and safer for pedestrians.
Gabalfa councillor, Cathy Pearcy, said: "It's great to see it back on-stream after the long delay. Journey times out of the city will be significantly reduced by the work, because buses will be able to avoid peak-hour queues. Once again, our Lib Dem council has invested in improving the public transport infrastructure of our city."
Cllr. Ed Bridges added: "As a cyclist myself, I have found the new cycle lane a big help. Cycling along North Road can be really dangerous, so having a safer route is brilliant."
