Lib Dem Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges (left), wants to see investment into renewable energy like solar panels.
The Liberal Democrats have announced plans to ensure all of Wales' power comes from 'green' sources by 2050.
The Lib Dems say we should be investing in renewable energy like solar panels, wind turbines and tidal lagoons rather than relying on fossil fuels and nuclear energy.
Cardiff North's Lib Dem candidate, Ed Bridges, said: "Our proposals sound very ambitious, but we have a duty to be ambitious and bold about the future. Wales should take the lead on green energy. We owe it to future generations to do all we can to protect our environment."
Assembly candidate, John Dixon, added: "The Welsh Lib Dems are opposed to Labour's plans for more nuclear power stations. They cost a fortune and nobody has yet found a way of safely disposing of the nuclear waste."
Labour's Rhodri Morgan has been slammed by environmental groups after he said that global warming would "hardly be unhelpful" to Wales' economic development.
Cllr. Ann Rowland-James said: "I am amazed at Rhodri Morgan's complacent attitude towards climate change. It is totally irresponsible."
